Questions
Q. Can I ask you for some filmmaking advice?
A. If your query is small enough I may be able to answer via a Cameo video message. I also answer some questions in my bi-monthly column in We Belong Dead magazine. Failing that I have many interviews and Q&As listed on my press page. Or you can buy back issues of the now out of print Digital FilmMaker Magazine for my "Ask the Filmmaker" column.
Q. Are you a director, writer or actor?
A. I consider myself a film director and filmmaker primarily (it's hard not to get involved beyond the process of directing in independent film). While I don’t typically write or produce genre films other than my own, I do take on suitable acting roles when they come my way.
Q. Can you send me an autograph / sign my item?
A. Autographs and merch are available exclusively in my Etsy shop (where you can also request personalisation). I can't take mail-in items unfortunately.
Q. Can you read my script / give me feedback on my film idea?
A. For legal reasons, I can't review scripts or offer feedback on your film ideas, but I wish you the best of luck with your projects!
Q. Can I work on / act in your films
A. While I typically collaborate with people I’ve already worked with, I encourage you to keep an eye out for out any crew or casting notices I may announce around the time of my productions.
Q. Will you come on my show or website for an interview?
Q. Will you take part in an interview for my degree dissertation?
A. Sorry, I can no longer do this due to time commitments, but I wish you the best of luck with your dissertation and future career!
Q. Are you available for conventions and guest appearances?
A. I’m always open to appearing as a guest at signing conventions, on stage for panels/talks and judging at film festivals. Please drop me some details via my contact form.
Q. Would you consider acting in / directing my film?
A. I’m open to possibilities! Feel free to reach out via my contact form if you have a serious proposal.
Q. When are you making your next film?
A. Independent filmmaking generally requires the often elusive elements of free time, resources and budget to align. Rest assured I'll be making my next film as soon as I can!
